What we collect when you enquire, what we do with it, and how to tell us to stop.

AJP Contractor Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a rendering and brickwork contractor working across Cheshire, South Manchester, the Wirral, Liverpool, Wigan, Chester and North Wales. We are the “data controller” for the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide what is collected and why.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through https://www.ajpcontractor.info, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. It also covers the cookies this website uses.
It does not cover other websites we link to, such as our Checkatrade or Google profiles. Those are run by other organisations under their own privacy policies.
When you complete the enquiry form on this website, we ask for:
Photographs are usually resized and re-encoded by your own browser before they are sent, which removes most embedded metadata such as GPS coordinates. That is a side effect of shrinking them rather than a guarantee — with some file types and browsers the original file is sent unchanged — so please only attach photographs you are happy for us to hold.
If you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp instead, we hold whatever you choose to tell us in that conversation.
The website also records your IP address briefly when an enquiry is submitted. It is held in memory only, for up to ten minutes, purely to stop the same connection submitting the form repeatedly. It is not written to disk, not included in the enquiry we receive, and not used to identify you.
If — and only if — you accept analytics cookies, we also collect information about how the site is used. See section 5.
UK data protection law requires us to have a “lawful basis” for using your information. Ours are set out below.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not profile you.
Some of the providers listed above are based outside the UK, or use infrastructure outside it. Where your information is transferred out of the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK law provides for this — either the country having been formally recognised as offering adequate protection, or contractual terms approved for that purpose, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, by calling 0303 123 1113, or by writing to Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
Everything you send through this website travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Enquiries are delivered straight to our email inbox — this website holds no customer database, so there is no store of past enquiries sitting on it to be broken into. Access to our email and job records is limited to the people at AJP who need it.
Our services are aimed at property owners and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.
We may update this policy from time to time — for example if we start using a new service provider. The current version was last updated on 1 August 2026. If we make a significant change, we will make that clear on this page.
